Terms and conditions for Participant to Workshop
1. Acknowledgment of Risks
I understand that participating in a beginner ballet workshop involves physical activity including barre work, centre practice, stretching, balance exercises, simple turns, and low-impact jumping. I recognize that even beginner-level ballet requires controlled movement, coordination, and sustained physical effort.
I acknowledge that these activities involve inherent risks such as muscle strain, joint stress, soreness, slips, loss of balance, and other potential injuries.
2. Physical Fitness and Medical Conditions
I confirm that I am physically able to participate in beginner ballet training and have no medical condition that would prevent my safe involvement. This includes, but is not limited to, conditions affecting balance, mobility, cardiovascular health, or joint stability.
I agree to inform the organizers before the workshop of any relevant medical conditions, past injuries, or physical limitations that may affect my participation.
I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a healthcare professional if I am unsure about my ability to participate safely.
3. Personal Responsibility and Workshop Conduct
I agree to:
Follow all instructions from the ballet instructor, including any corrections or safety guidance. Work within my own physical limits and adjust movements if necessary. Inform the instructor immediately if I feel pain, discomfort, dizziness, or fatigue. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing suitable for movement and footwear appropriate for the dance floor.
I understand that ballet involves repetition, practice, and gradual progression, and I am responsible for resting as needed.
4. Liability Release
To the fullest extent permitted under German law (§ 276 BGB and associated provisions), I release the workshop organizers, instructors, assistants, venue owners, and affiliated parties from liability for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the workshop or as a result of my participation, except in cases of intent (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit) by the organizers, which cannot be waived under German law.
5. Insurance
I acknowledge that I am responsible for maintaining my own health and accident insurance. The organizers do not provide personal insurance coverage for participants.
6. Emergency Care Consent
In the event of an accident or medical emergency, I consent to the provision of first aid and authorize organizers to seek emergency medical assistance if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any related expenses.
7. Photography and Media
I consent to being photographed or recorded during the workshop for documentation or promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website). No compensation will be provided.
OR
I will notify the organizers prior the workshop if I wish not to be photographed or recorded.
8. Data Protection Notice (GDPR Compliant)
I understand that my personal data will be collected and stored for the purpose of organizing and administering the workshop. My data will not be shared with third parties except when required by law or essential for workshop operations. I may request access to, correction of, or deletion of my personal data at any time.
9. Cancellation Policy
A full refund is provided if the workshop is canceled by the organizer. A full refund is provided if the participant cancels within 4 weeks prior the workhop. After that date, a full refund is no longer possible, but the paid amount can be credited toward a future workshop taking place within one year from the cancellation date.
